What is PathSeeker Virtual?

PathSeeker Virtual is an online hub of Support, Therapy, and Ministry groups.  We are on a crusade to provide and/or link to the ones that are effective.  PathSeeker Center offers Clinical therapy groups through this ‘internet campus’ — it is easier for people to become involved online because the hassles of location, time constraints, and childcare are eliminated.

How do I get involved?

Involved as a participant:  Choose a group that looks interesting to you and click “More Information.”  Some groups require paperwork, face-to-face enrollment, or a financial level of commitment.  Clicking “Start” will help you begin the process.

Involved as a provider:  PSV can only host groups that are beneficial and trustworthy.  That leaves a great deal of open area to cover.  There are many topics that facilitate health and healing — we are specifically geared toward those that guide toward a connection with God and a connection with people.  PathSeeker Virtual reserves the right to approve or deny requests to be included on the site.

How do I connect locally?

The PathSeeker Virtual goal is to help you connect online, but also to connect to local people in your area.  There are several churches that we recommend.  We figure that if churches support our mission of secure mental health, then they must be healthy and secure themselves.  These churches are listed here.

We recommend that you attend a local church to get involved AND you can continue to stay involved with us at PathSeeker Virtual.

Why such a focus on donating?

At PathSeeker, we realize that money is a “necessary evil.”  That’s one reason many of our Clinical Therapy Groups and Support Groups require an expected donation– to cover overhead and provide for the Therapists, etc.

We also have come to realize that money = commitment for most people.  Money is valuable; so therapy must involve money in order to be of value — that’s the logic.  We have tried to offer Groups and Therapy with no financial expectation.  The result:  people ‘blow off’ appointments, and don’t take their involvement seriously.
When people invest financially in their healing, they are much more motivated.

Also, giving, in itself, is a path to mental health.  Here’s our proof:

Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

That is pretty clear to us; if you cheerfully give to the PathSeeker ministry, you end up with a lap-full of blessing.
